IS A SPRAY TAN THE SAME AS A BASE TAN?

No. The spray tan does not contain SPF and will not protect your skin from getting burned. You must wear SPF when going outdoors. Only use lotion based sunscreen. Do not use sprays or oils.

HOW LONG DOES THE TAN LAST?

The tan will last about 7 days depending on how fast your skin exfoliates. The color will fully develop 8 hours after your spray tanning session. If you follow the care instructions the tan will last longer. Ask us about tan extending products.

I HAVE A SPECIAL EVENT COMING UP, WHEN SHOULD I GET A SPRAY TAN?

If the event is a wedding you should spray the day before if you are a guest and 2 days before if you are a bride. If the event is a pool or beach party please spray at least one day before. If the event is at night you can spray the morning of the event if you do the Express Tan.

CAN I BOOK A TANNING PARTY FOR SEVERAL PEOPLE?

Yes, Miami Glow is perfect for groups. Call us to book a tanning party.

WHY CHOOSE SPRAY TANNING OVER UV TANNING?

Because spray tanning is safe and does not damage the skin. You will also get an even tan with no tan lines. UV rays cause cancer and wrinkles.

IS DHA SAFE?

Yes, DHA is derived from sugarcane, the product I use is organic. I can provide nose filters if you are concerned with breathing in the solution. Because I spray in a well ventilated area with the AC on and use a turbo HPLV machine it does not produce the overspray that is seen in a spray booth. I also instruct my client to hold their breath and close their eyes for 10 seconds while I am spraying the face. The current media attention is focused on spray booths which do not have good ventilation and have a lot of overspray. Miami Glow Tanning is applied by a tanning technician in an open air environment.

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR TO MY TANNING APPOINTMENT?

If you are a woman, you may tan in the nude or I can provide you with a disposable thong to wear. Please have a dark, loose fitting sundress and flip flops to wear after the tan, until your first shower. For men, please wear black underwear like a speedo, boxers, briefs, etc. Men may NOT tan in the nude. Please have a black cotton t-shirt or tank top and black cotton shorts as well as flip flops to wear afterward. Do not wear socks or closed toed shoes please.

HOW LONG DO I HAVE TO WAIT TO SHOWER AFTER MY SPRAY TAN?

For the regular solution please wash your hands after 1 hour. You may wash your body after 8 hours. I recommend taking a water only shower first and start using sulfate-free bodywash the following day. Only use recommended sulfate free body wash. Mobile tans come with a travel sized bottle of Norvell Tan extending bodywash. For the express solution you may wash your hands after 1 hour and rinse the body with water only after 90 minutes to 3 hours.

HOW DO I KEEP MY TAN FROM FADING?

Use a sulfate free bodywash, do NOT use : barsoaps, loofahs, washcloths, or DOVE brand products. Please apply lotion after every shower to keep your skin moisturized. Please use at least 30SPF sunscreen lotion so you do not burn. You may use a soft mesh sponge in the shower. If you use a tan extending lotion with DHA in it, your tan will last longer. Please wait at least 2 hours after a spray tan before going to bed.

Do not use products that contain mineral oil, petroleum or sulfates.

For more information on how to prolong your tan please ask us about lotions and body washes.
